This Aszú wine contains the golden drops of the volcanic slopes of the Tokaj Wine Region from Hungary. The botrytised aszú berries are soaked in must. After pressing the rich juice it was fermented and aged in oak barrels for at least 24 months. Very high acidity, over 9 g/l (!) with a whopping 148 g/l residual sugar content. The mighty flagship of the Tokaj Aszú range. Intensively fresh citrus and tropical fruits on the nose with elegant and easy to recognize botrytise bouquet. Apricot, peach, mango, pear, nuts and honey on the palate. The 220 litre lightly toasted Hungarian oak barrels impart the extra long finish with some vanilla and toast overtones. The most unique sweet wine in the world with natural sugar content only!
