Szamorodni is one of the most famous wine categories of Tokaj. The word ’szamorodni’ is Polish for ’as it has grown’. It contains 50% of botritised aszúberries and 50% of healthy berries, which gives a special character to the wine. The wine was aged for 18 months in 220 liter Hungarian oak barrels. The nose displays discreet notes of botrytis, smooth barrique and ripe apricot. The palate offers hints of honey, vanilla, apricot and mangoes.
