For this wine, botrytised, shrivelled Furmint berries were individually hand-picked and then macerated in fermenting Furmint must for 18 hours before gentle pressing and fermentation in oak barrels. After fermentation, the wine was cooled, racked, and then aged for 24 months in small Hungarian and French oak barrels. 2019 was an excellent vintage, allowing the grapes to slowly achieve full ripeness before the extensive spread of noble rot in October. A wine with rich aromas of apricot, citrus and propolis, showing beautiful acidity that elegantly balances the residual sugar and offers a long-lingering finish.
