Nowadays this traditional category has become something of a rarity in Tokaj. The notes of barrel ageing mingle with some oxidative aromas. It is somewhat reminiscent of a Vermouth and it is characterized by slightly botrytized notes. It has a long-lasting, slightly fiery finish. With some aeration it opens up nicely in the glass.
