This is a local native Furmint clone with small clusters, great potential for high levels of sugar with a very complex structure of acidity, often with neutral aroma character. But the rich volcanic (rhyolite tuff) soil of the Lapis overrides these characteristics and makes this wine intensely mineral, rich and persistent. This wine comes from a great vintage and was fermented and aged in barrels.
