With a near-perfect distribution of rainfall and temperature throughout the entire growing season, 2017 is one of the best vintages of the past decade, giving both great dry wines with longevity, as well as rich, complex sweet ones. Furmint grapes for this wine were harvested from late August to early September, giving a base wine with high and fine, fresh acidity, along with minerality and elegance. Secondary fermentation took place in the bottle, and the wine was aged on the lees for 5 years before disgorgement (please, check date of disgorging on front label).
